Kingston International School

Kingston Children’s Centre and Kindergarten was founded by Emily Ngan in 1996 as an alternative to the traditional form of education offered in Hong Kong. Emily firmly believed in the power of play and in the importance of learning to speak Putonghua as well as English. She recognized that to foster language acquisition it was important to have small class sizes and native speaking teachers, and so Kingston began.
Kingston is the first school in Hong Kong authorized to teach the International Baccaureate Primary Years Programme (IBPYP).
