From strong academic results to personalised university guidance, OWIS helps students prepare for their next chapter with confidence.

For students completing their final years of school, one of the biggest questions is often, "What comes next?"

Some already know what they want to study and where they hope to go. Others are still exploring their interests, discovering new career possibilities or deciding which country they would like to study in.

At One World International School (OWIS), we believe preparing students for university is about more than helping them achieve strong examination results. It's also about giving them the guidance, opportunities and confidence to make informed decisions about their future.

Through our International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), personalised university counselling and opportunities to connect directly with universities, we help students discover the pathways that best match their strengths, interests and ambitions.

Strong IB Diploma Results That Open Doors

Academic achievement plays an important role in giving students greater choice when applying to universities.

At OWIS Nanyang, our 2026 IB Diploma graduates achieved the school's best results to date, reflecting the dedication of our students and the support of our teaching team.

Our 2026 IB Diploma results included:

  • 35 points average, well above the global average of 30.88.

  • 43 points, our highest individual score.

  • 12% of students achieved 40 points or higher, the highest proportion in OWIS Nanyang's history.

  • 53% of students scored 35 points or above.

  • Our first student to achieve an IB Bilingual Diploma.

These results reflect our commitment to quality teaching, individual attention and helping students achieve their academic potential.

However, strong results are only part of the story.

Our goal is to help students use their achievements to pursue university courses that interest them, suit their abilities and support their longer-term goals as well as helping them to receive offers from their first choice university.

Helping Students Find the Right University, Not Just Any University

With thousands of university courses available around the world, knowing where to begin can feel overwhelming.

Should a student choose a university based on its ranking? The country they want to live in? The course content? Or the career opportunities available after graduation?

At OWIS, our university counselling programme helps students look beyond university names and focus on what matters most to them.

Through personalised guidance, students explore their academic interests, identify suitable universities, understand admission requirements and prepare their applications.

Our counselling team also helps students consider different study destinations, course options and what university life may look like.

For some students, the right choice may be a highly ranked international university. For others, a specialist institution offering a particular course or learning environment may be a better fit.

What matters is helping each student make a choice that is right for them.

Bringing University Opportunities Closer to Our Students

One way we support this decision-making process is by creating opportunities for students to speak directly with university representatives.

Our recent Only in SG Mini University Fair at OWIS Nanyang is a good example.

The event brought together representatives from 15 Singapore-based universities, international branch campuses and specialist higher education institutions.

Students were able to explore courses across a wide range of fields, including business, engineering, medicine, computing, technology, design, aviation and hospitality.

They also had the opportunity to ask questions about entry requirements, university applications, course structures and career pathways.

For students who are unsure about their next step, these conversations can be particularly helpful.

They may discover a course they had never considered, realise that a subject they enjoy could lead to an unexpected career or learn more about what a particular university expects from applicants.

For our IBDP students, focused workshops with university representatives provided further opportunities to understand specific courses and admissions requirements.

The fair is just one part of the wider university guidance programme at OWIS, which includes individual counselling, university visits, workshops and application support.

Preparing Students for University Life Through the IB Diploma

Getting into university is an important milestone. Being prepared for university life is equally important.

The IB Diploma Programme at OWIS, offered in Grades 11 and 12 at our Nanyang and Digital campuses, helps students develop the knowledge and skills they will need when they move on to higher education.

Through research, independent study, classroom discussions and practical projects, students learn to think critically, communicate clearly and manage their responsibilities.

The programme also encourages students to explore subjects in depth while developing a broader understanding of the world.

Beyond academics, Creativity, Activity and Service (CAS) gives students opportunities to pursue personal interests, contribute to their communities and develop leadership and teamwork skills.

These experiences help students discover more about themselves, including what they enjoy, where their strengths lie and what they may want to pursue after school.

By the time they graduate, our aim is for students to feel prepared not only to apply for university but also to take on the responsibilities and opportunities that come with greater independence.

Quality IB Diploma Education at a Thoughtful Price Point

At OWIS, we believe a high-quality IB Diploma education should come at a thoughtful price point.

Our focus is on excellent teaching, personalised academic support and creating an environment where students are encouraged to achieve their best.

Our 2026 IB Diploma results demonstrate what students can achieve with this approach.

We also understand that school fees are an important consideration for families, particularly during the final years of secondary education.

That's why our fee structure is designed to provide parents with greater certainty.

Our IB Diploma tuition fees include standard IB examination costs, meaning parents are not charged separately for these examinations.

This allows families to plan their child's final two years of school with greater confidence, while knowing their child is receiving a quality international education supported by experienced educators and university guidance.

We believe the value of an IB Diploma education should be measured not only by academic results but also by the opportunities, support and preparation students receive along the way.

Every Student's University Journey Is Different

There is no single definition of university success.

One student may dream of studying engineering in Singapore. Another may want to pursue medicine overseas. Someone else may discover a passion for design, business or the performing arts.

At OWIS, we recognise that every student has different strengths, interests and ambitions.

Our role is to help them explore those possibilities, make informed choices and work towards a future that feels right for them.

With strong IB Diploma results, dedicated teachers, personalised university counselling and opportunities to engage directly with higher education institutions, we aim to give every student the foundation they need for their next chapter.

Because a successful education isn't just about the results students achieve. It's about where those results can take them.
