Qualities and characteristics best defining the school

Saba Verda is an international private school providing a complete English-language education for students from Early Years to Secondary School. We aim to teach skills, process and a passion for literature. Being a small school we have a "family-like" environment where older pupils mix with younger pupils. We always help each other with both practical tasks, planning and general support. We have ample space and many possibilities for outdoor activities. Our school day runs between 8.30am to 3pm.
As well as offering more traditional lessons, we create cross curricular projects that aim to teach subjects with a focus on process and real life content. We teach using ´Experience-led learning´, there is a focus on supporting class with realia, visuals and manipulative materials. Throughout the curriculum there is emphasis on using a balance of traditional methods and modern materials and technologies to ensure diversity in our teaching.

Teaching approach of the school

Students learn concepts, theories and methods from a wide range of disciplines, deepening their understanding of the subject matter as they progress.

Connecting themes and subjects allows them to apply concepts and solve problems.
