Parent
Our family spent several years at this school, and after accumulating numerous concerns, we decided to leave. I’m sharing our experience so that other parents can make an informed decision before enrolling their children.
⸻
❗ 1. Academic quality does not match the extremely high tuition fees
Despite presenting itself as a premium international school, the actual educational level is disappointing:
• academic standards are inconsistent;
• several teachers struggle to communicate clearly in English;
• the overall level does not justify the high tuition.
The value simply does not match the price.
⸻
❗ 2. Most students have their tuition paid by companies — only a small minority of parents pay privately
This is something parents are rarely aware of before enrolling.
By our observation, roughly two thirds of the students have their tuition covered by employers or companies, not by the families themselves. Only a relatively small percentage of parents actually pay out of pocket.
As a result:
• the school does not operate like a traditional selective private school;
• there is no meaningful academic selection;
• the student body varies widely in academic level, behaviour and preparedness;
• the environment becomes less academically focused than the school advertises.
This is a major mismatch between the school’s marketing and reality.
⸻
❗ 3. Behaviour issues and lack of discipline
Over the years we repeatedly witnessed:
• aggressive behaviour (pushing, throwing objects);
• disruptive classroom conduct;
• lack of respect during lessons;
• minimal effective intervention from the school.
The learning environment often felt chaotic and not properly supervised.
⸻
❗ 4. Safety concerns and missing belongings
Lost items are a constant issue. But one incident was unacceptable:
• our child’s jacket disappeared during school hours;
• no one reacted quickly;
• our child walked home in –7°C wearing only a hoodie, because no adult handled the situation;
• the school didn’t even notify parents to check for mistakenly taken jackets;
• after two weeks the jacket was still not returned.
Our child’s throat became sore after walking home without proper winter clothing.
This raises serious questions about supervision.
⸻
❗ 5. Very poor food quality
Throughout several years:
• food was consistently low quality;
• portions were small;
• children frequently came home hungry.
This is far below what one would expect from a school with such high fees.
⸻
❗ 6. The school functions more like a business than an educational institution
This became increasingly evident:
• the focus appears to be on enrolling as many tuition-paying families as possible;
• the high cost is not supported by corresponding quality or care;
• student wellbeing, safety and academic standards are not aligned with the school’s premium image.

I was a pupil here between 1975 and 1977. It was an amazing experience. The school was very muti cultural and the school text books were excellent quality. I was amazed you put your awners into the actual text book. Made many friends from around the world.
