The American School of Madrid, founded in 1961, is a private, non-profit, American college-preparatory educational organization offering the traditional U.S. high school diploma, the International Baccalaureate, and a unique Spanish “Programa Oficial”. The school has as its primary responsibility the recognition and development of the intellectual ability of its students. ASM also recognizes its responsibility to attend to the emotional, moral, physical, and social needs of its students. The principal objective of ASM is to provide an elementary and secondary education program in Madrid consistent with that of the best American international schools in the United States and abroad. Established in 2017, Casvi International American School is a private, international, co-ed school, located in Tres Cantos, and based on the American school system whose mission is to educate and create citizens of the world.

The main school site caters for over 1580 pupils between the ages of 20 months and 18 years (Pre-Pre-Nursery to Year 13). It is located in an attractive 12 acre site in the countryside between the city and the Guadarrama Mountains, but remains well connected to the city centre by bus and rail.
ACCREDITATION
King’s College is the only British School in Madrid currently inspected by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) of England, a statutory body approved by the British Government for the inspection of independent schools. Standards are rigorous and inspection reports are regularly published. King’s College is also an accredited and founding member of COBIS (The Council of British International Schools), which is a constituent member of the Independent Schools Council of England. As a member of COBIS, King's College is now subject to full UK inspections carried out by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) regulated by the Department for Education (DfE). By virtue of its full British Inspection and Accreditation, the Spanish Ministry of Education has authorised King’s College as a British School in Spain.
The school is an official examination centre for the University of Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (I.G.C.S.E.) examinations, and for the Edexcel/AQA/Cambridge General Certificate of Education Advanced Level (G.C.E. “A” Level) examinations. It is also an examination centre for the Associated Board of Royal Schools of Music.
