We have sent 2 children to this school (Sri KDU Kota Damansara) since they were in primary. My review however is based on the International Secondary school as it is now, in 2025.
There have been so many disappointments ever since the new management and school leadership took over several years ago. I cannot overstate how things have changed, in my opinion for the worse.
Most distressingly, many subjects for my children’s classes are now taught by substitute Teachers and the teaching standard for many of them (not all of them, to be fair) is shocking. Besides a few teachers who have good subject knowledge and engage the kids well, many other teachers get away with being rude and in some cases engaging in what I consider bully-behaviour.
Cafeteria food. Since they’ve changed the canteen operator several years ago, this has been a big problem. We go through seasons of insufficient supply of food for everyone during lunch times, to long lines, to expensive meals, etc.
I am not a fan of how the school is being run by the current Principal and most (not all) of the school leadership team. There have been too many incidents where they seem to look down on local parents and students, and ignore well-meaning feedback. Maybe it is cultural, but their response to feedback has in my opinion been offensive.
The “parent council” or group that faithfully represents all parents has been often unfairly treated by the school leadership, and their suggestions and requests shot down. I know it can’t be easy running a very large school and leadership has to take into account multiple considerations, but I do feel overall Sri KDU school leadership (Kota Damansara) have been so difficult to work with.
The one good thing about the school are the facilities. They tend to maintain these well, and they try to give opportunities to everyone to use them.
Also, I have to repeat that there are several teachers who go the extra mile and do care for the students - much appreciated to those select few.

My child had a very disappointing experience at this private primary school.
For almost three years, my child was verbally and physically bullied by another student. Unfortunately, no effective action was taken by the school during that period. However, when my child finally tried to stand up for himself (in a non-physical way) after being repeatedly provoked, the other student’s parents lodged a complaint, and my child was isolated for three days. The bullying continued until his final day at the school. This lack of consistent and fair handling was deeply concerning.
The school also places excessive focus on unnecessary activities and competitions. It often feels like these events are created to showcase the school’s image rather than to genuinely benefit the students. Instead of fostering growth, such constant comparisons can leave some children feeling excluded or inadequat... read full review
