Twelve students achieved straight A*s in their exams, while 56 students attained A*-A grades across all their qualifications, including the EPQ. More than 90 students also secured places at their first-choice university, with destinations including the University of Oxford, Imperial College London, UCL, LSE, the University of Hong Kong and King’s College London.

Students achieved particularly impressive results across OIC’s STEM subjects. In Chemistry, 86% of grades were A*-A, with students progressing to courses including Biochemistry, Medicine, Chemical Engineering and Dentistry. Will achieved A*s in Biology, Chemistry, Maths and his EPQ and will now study Biochemistry at Imperial College London. His interest in the molecular processes behind life and disease has led him to explore genetics, biotechnology and scientific innovation through independent research, laboratory experience and national competitions.

Maths and Further Maths also produced excellent results, with 70% of students achieving A*-A grades across both subjects. Students are progressing to universities including UCL, LSE and Warwick to study Mathematics, alongside others taking up places on Engineering courses.

Among them is Grace, who will study Chemical Engineering at Newcastle University. Having joined OIC in Year 12 after studying in Abuja, Nigeria, Grace was inspired by the impact of oil pollution in Nigeria’s Niger Delta to explore how science and engineering can create sustainable solutions that protect people and the environment.

OIC students have also secured highly competitive places to study Medicine. Chul (Joseph), who achieved three A*s, will study Medicine at the University of St Andrews. His ambition to become a doctor was inspired by the compassionate care his mother received while undergoing treatment for cardiac arrhythmia, motivating him to pursue a career combining empathy with scientific expertise.

Alongside its strength in STEM, OIC students achieved excellent results in the humanities. All Geography grades were A*-A, as were 70% of History grades. Students will continue their studies at universities including Oxford, LSE and Warwick, pursuing subjects such as PPE, History, Politics, Psychology and Economics.

As part of Nord Anglia Education, OIC achieved the strongest A Level results across the group of more than 90 schools worldwide. More than half of OIC students took four or more A Levels, while over a quarter achieved A*s.
