Our Oasis Journey
Moving to Malaysia in the summer of 2024 was a whirlwind for our family. We hit the ground running. Finding a home, a car, beds to sleep in, and helping our two boys settle into a brand-new school.
Our boys began at Oasis International School in August 2024, and their first year was filled with new experiences. From the maintenance team to the Head of School, we couldn’t have asked for a warmer welcome. Now, as we enter the final months of our second year at Oasis, those relationships have grown even stronger, and we feel incredibly supported and at home.
Sports are a big part of our family life, and it has been such a joy watching our boys compete in soccer, basketball, volleyball, and rugby over the past two years. I’m a proud supporter of school spirit! You’ll usually find me at the games cheering on the EAGLES (and maybe doing a little “coaching” from the bleachers!) or camera in hand, with a humongous zoom lens, taking sports photos for the school.
This year, my love for sports opened the door for me to help coach the girls’ varsity volleyball team alongside our Head Coach, Amy Shufflin. Personally playing competitive volleyball for years, it has been a lifelong passion of mine. Having the opportunity to share that passion with the next generation of players has been incredibly rewarding.
There are so many ways to get plugged into the Oasis community. Choosing which PFO clubs to join was no easy task! With opportunities ranging from sports and fitness groups to music and arts, there truly is something for everyone. Oasis isn’t just a place where our children go to school, it’s a community for our whole family, and we are so grateful for the friendships we’ve built here.

Our family has been part of Oasis International School Kuala Lumpur since 2023, and it has truly been a wonderful experience for us. All three of our children study here, and we’ve seen them grow not just academically, but also in confidence, independence, and character.
The teachers are dedicated, approachable, and genuinely supportive. They take time to understand each child and are always ready to help. We really appreciate the strong partnership between parents and the school.
Most importantly, our children are thriving and genuinely look forward to going to school every day.
We’re grateful to be part of this community and would wholeheartedly recommend it to other families.

Our 2 children have been at oasis for nearly 3 years. We have been very pleased with our experience at the school.
The school offers high academic standard with highly qualified and professional teachers, who pursue the wellbeing of every child and meeting their individual needs.
Besides academics, they instil values, character and skills that equip our children not just for now, but life beyond school.
Oasis offers excellent extra curricular activities for both my children from volleyball, basketball and soccer etc. Providing opportunities for team spirit, resilience and interpersonal skills.
Oasis welcomes parents to be involved in school activities through the Parents For Oasis Club. Where parents feel connected, valued and in a community.
We would highly recommend Oasis International School to other families.

My four children have attended Oasis since its beginning. It's an excellent school that prides itself in high academic standards, but also holistic care for the students. What sets Oasis apart is how seriously they take student well-being. There is attention to grades, but also intentional focus on character development, emotional resilience, and interpersonal skills. Our family feels consistently supported by teachers and leadership who communicate clearly and care deeply.
