Qualities and characteristics best defining the school

Jayakarta Montessori School is a preschool and elementary school located in Kemang, South Jakarta, offering programs for children from 18 months to 11 years of age.

Montessori children are adaptable. Since they have been encouraged to make decisions from an early age, these children are problem-solvers who can make choices and manage their time well. They have also been encouraged to exchange ideas and to discuss their work freely with others.

Teaching approach of the school

Through the Montessori approach, students are motivated to learn naturally by providing a prepared environment and materials which the children can use at their own pace.
This approach focuses on building intrinsic motivation, independence, self-discipline and a positive self image. Each child is taught the necessary skills in order to prepare them for the next phase, be it in a larger school, in another international school, or back home overseas.
