Consistently Strong Academic Results

This year's results highlight consistently strong performance across the cohort:

  • 97% pass rate, compared to the global average of 82.6%
  • Average IB score of 34 points, exceeding the global average of 30.9 points
  • 24% of students achieved 37 points or more
  • 42% of students scored 35 points or higher
  • Average subject grade of 5.3 across 25 IB subject areas, compared to the global average of 4.9
  • 83% of Czech students studying both English A and Czech A earned the IB Bilingual Diploma
  • All bilingual diploma recipients achieved grades of 5 or above in both languages

Reflecting on this year's achievements, Mark Buckley, Deputy Head and IB Coordinator, said:
"We naturally take pride in scores that stand out on the world stage and in the breadth and diversity of our students' university destinations. However, these successes are just the tip of the iceberg. They are built on foundations laid by curious, passionate students, a dedicated and caring teaching team, and a strong network of parents and families. Together, they create the culture for success and remind us of the importance of appreciating the journey, not just the destination."
While academic results are important, the IB Diploma Programme is about much more than examination performance. Throughout their studies, students develop critical thinking, communication and research skills, becoming confident and independent learners ready to embrace future challenges.

More than academic achievement

The IB Diploma Programme encourages students to go beyond subject knowledge. Throughout the programme, learners are challenged to analyse, question, research and collaborate, developing skills that will support them throughout university and their future careers.

At PBIS, success is measured not only by examination results, but also by the confidence, independence and global perspective students gain along the way. These qualities help graduates adapt to new environments, tackle complex challenges and make informed decisions about their futures.
