Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) High School Division has taken another step forward in advancing STEM education by officially signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Focus Systems Corporation, a renowned Japanese technology firm. The ceremony, held on August 7, 2025 at the SISC campus, was attended by SISC leaders, representatives from Focus Systems, and partner organization Leave a Nest. The agreement highlights Southville’s commitment to preparing its students with globally competitive skills, giving them access to modern equipment, technical expertise, and innovative methodologies that will enrich classroom learning and research opportunities.
The partnership is expected to enhance the school’s already strong STEM program by equipping students with real-world applications of science and technology. Through this collaboration, students will gain exposure to advanced systems and international best practices, bridging the gap between classroom knowledge and practical innovation. According to Dr. Jocelyn P. Tizon, President of SISC, this initiative demonstrates the school’s unyielding mission to produce graduates who are not only academically excellent but also globally competent. Representatives from Focus Systems and Leave a Nest also emphasized the importance of fostering international cooperation in education, recognizing that the exchange of ideas and technology across borders is crucial in training the next generation of problem-solvers and innovators.
Over the years, SISC has consistently excelled in STEM education, with students achieving recognition in both local and international competitions and pursuing higher education in some of the world’s top universities. This new partnership further strengthens Southville’s vision of molding students into leaders in science and technology, ensuring they are future-ready for the demands of a rapidly evolving global landscape. By working hand-in-hand with Focus Systems, Southville continues to pave the way for meaningful opportunities that inspire innovation, creativity, and excellence in STEM.
