Islamic Classes are only provided before or after school for Muslim students; during school time, only International and Japanese classes are provided. Non-Muslim students enjoy their regular school classes and activities without any regulations or influence.

Yes. SIS teachers assign homework in a planned and balanced way to support learning, practice skills, and build good study habits.

SIS follows a simple Homework Policy to avoid stress and ensure students have time for family and rest. The suggested daily homework time is:
Grades 1–2: 10–20 minutes
Grades 3–4: 20–30 minutes
Grades 5–6: 30–45 minutes
Grades 7 and above: 45–60 minutes

Percentage of students who pursue further education post-graduation

SIS is a new school, and the first batch of graduates will be in 2029.
However, the school curriculum (International + Japanese + strong language support) is designed to prepare students to enter Japanese universities and international universities worldwide.

Once the first cohort graduates, SIS will officially track and publish the percentage of graduates who enter higher education.

Dedicated staff/programs for students with special learning needs

For mild or slight learning support, our classroom teachers, together with the school counselor, can provide help inside the classroom.
For severe learning needs, we guide parents to specialized centers in Sapporo, as SIS does not yet have full-time special-needs specialists.

Yes. When a grade reaches its maximum capacity, applicants are placed on a waiting list and contacted as soon as a seat becomes available.

SIS follows rolling admissions, but priority registration for the new academic year ends on March 31. After that, applications are accepted only if seats remain.

Yes. Students may join during the school year as long as there is space available and the evaluation shows that they can smoothly adjust to the class.

Yes, we have Islamic classes before and after school. So, all students can stay at school. Non-Muslim students are allowed to use the library or gym during these times.
