The International School Zurich North is proud to celebrate the outstanding A-Level results achieved by the Class of 2026.

This year, 48% of all A-Level grades were awarded at A or A*, reflecting the ambition, commitment and academic strength of our graduating students.

Across the cohort, 43% of students achieved three A-Levels at Grade A or above, while 64% achieved three or more A-Levels between Grades A* and C.

Students also achieved a 100% pass rate in Economics, Business, German, English Literature and Computer Science.

These results represent an important milestone for our students as they complete their A-Level studies at ISZN and prepare for their next steps at universities in Switzerland and around the world. ISZN's A-Level programme is designed to combine academic depth with personalised guidance and preparation for future university pathways.

Strong A-Level results across a broad range of subjects
A-Levels allow students to specialise in subjects that reflect their strengths, interests and future university ambitions.

At ISZN, students benefit from small class groups, experienced subject teachers and a personalised approach to learning. This enables teachers to understand each student's individual academic profile and provide the appropriate balance of challenge, guidance and support.

The strength of the 2026 results across subjects including Economics, Business, German, English Literature and Computer Science demonstrates the breadth of academic achievement within the graduating class.

Students can reach A-Levels through several routes within Upper Secondary at ISZN, including the standard four-year IGCSE and A-Level pathway, the three-year Accelerated Pathway, and direct entry into A-Levels for students with the appropriate previous qualifications.
A pathway to Swiss and international universities
One of the important advantages of studying A-Levels at ISZN is the flexibility they provide when students begin considering university.
A-Levels are recognised internationally and, with the appropriate subject combinations and admission requirements, can also provide a route into Swiss universities. ISZN therefore supports students in planning for both Swiss and international higher education from an early stage. This means our students do not need to choose between a Swiss or international educational future at an early stage. With careful academic and language planning, they can maintain options in Switzerland while also considering universities in the UK, Europe, North America and elsewhere.

More than examination results
While we are immensely proud of this year's academic outcomes, the students behind the results remain at the heart of the achievement.

You have achieved outstanding results, but you are far more than your grades, and you are now ready to go out into the world and drive positive change.”
Throughout their time at ISZN, students are encouraged to develop not only strong subject knowledge but also independence, critical thinking and the confidence to take increasing responsibility for their learning.
For students joining ISZN later in their secondary education, the Accelerated Pathway to IGCSEs and A-Levels provides another route. Designed for students entering in Grade 10, it combines an intensive IGCSE bridge year with two years of A-Level study and is structured to keep both Swiss and international university options open.
