Mealtimes are a social occasion when children and adults eat together. St. Francis College offers wholesome, nourishing balanced meals with a wide choice of dishes, including hot meals, a vegetarian option, a salad bar, rice and beans, a variety of fresh fruit every day. The recipes have controlled amounts of fat, salt and sugar in them to ensure that our children have the correct balance in their diets.
The head of kitchen alongside with its staff and school´s nutritionist; together prepare all school meals for both campuses making sure all is cooked to perfection. Dietary requirements that your child may have can also be requested from the school.

Lessons in physical education and sports programmes aim to promote physical, social and emotional development along with critical thinking. It takes into consideration individual pace, progress and background, as well as the group's characteristics, needs and interests. Differentiated activities and cooperative learning opportunities are offered and cultural exchange is stimulated. A safe and inclusive environment is provided, that allows the pupils to experience positive, challenging and enjoyable physical activities while learning about the benefits and importance of exercise.

St. Francis College is an international school which strives for excellence, providing a warm and friendly community committed to the International Baccalaureate (IB) philosophy. It offers a challenging educational programme with assessment through inquiry-based instruction highly focused on the academic and personal development of every pupil. St. Francis College is currently the only school in São Paulo to offer the IB Continuum through its Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme and Diploma Programme.
The taught curriculum encourages students to be successful learners, confident individuals, effective contributors to their communities, and responsible citizens. |Teaching approach of the school||
The curriculum in Primary and Secondary is based on the British National Curriculum. It is also designed to meet the local requirements for the Ministério de Educação (MEC). Pupils at St. Francis College sit the SAT tests, the IGCSE exams in MYP5 (the equivalent of Year 11 in the British System) and the IB Diploma exams in DP 2.
Another very important element in the St. Francis curriculum is the Portuguese language subjects, which include Brazilian literature, Portuguese language as well as the history and geography of Brazil. Pupils at St. Francis will conclude their secondary education having also obtained their Brazilian studies diploma.
