Deciding on IGCSE options is a pivotal step for our Year 9 students during their time at Rugby School Thailand and we’re here to support them every step of the way. Our annual Year 9 Pathways event gives parents the opportunity to join us for insightful presentations from a range of Senior School staff, including Mr Groves (Head of Senior), Dr Grindlay (Academic Deputy Head), Mr Simmons (Head of Higher Education and Careers) and Mrs Streeter (Head of Year 9).

The presentations offer key information about what an IGCSE is, how it is graded and the important choices students need to make. These choices will inform A Level courses, university applications, and ultimately, career pathways, so we place great value on this step of the educational journey.

This year, we have two exciting additions to the range of subjects on offer: Economics and Psychology. The event culminates in a vibrant subject exhibition, where Heads of Department each share deep dives into the IGCSE curricula, giving parents and students the information they need to discuss choices together.
