Saint George School follows the Cambridge International Curriculum and offers the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program in Grade 11th and 12th. Throughout their academic journey, students participate in a comprehensive assessment program designed to monitor academic progress, inform teaching, and prepare them for success in higher education. Students complete NWEA MAP Growth assessments in Reading, Mathematics, Language Usage, and Science to measure academic growth and guide instructional decisions. The school also administers the CAT4 (Cognitive Abilities Test) to identify students' cognitive strengths and learning potential. At the end of Lower Secondary, students sit the Cambridge Checkpoint Mathematics assessment. During Upper Secondary, students complete Cambridge IGCSE examinations, and in Grade 12, students undertake the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme assessments.

Yes. Homework is an integral part of the learning process at Saint George School. Teachers assign meaningful and purposeful homework to reinforce classroom learning, encourage independent study habits, and help students develop responsibility, organization, and time-management skills. Homework is carefully planned to be appropriate for each student's age and stage of learning while supporting the objectives of the curriculum.

Homework expectations increase gradually as students' progress through the school. In the Primary years, students are generally expected to spend between 20 and 45 minutes per day completing homework. In Lower Secondary, this increases to approximately 45 to 60 minutes per day. Students preparing for Cambridge IGCSE examinations typically spend between one and two hours on homework each day, while students in the IB Diploma Program are expected to dedicate approximately two to three hours daily to homework, coursework, Internal Assessments, and examination preparation.

Nearly all Saint George School graduates continue their education at higher education institutions following graduation. Our graduates are accepted into universities both in the Dominican Republic and abroad, pursuing studies in a wide range of disciplines.
