Every level is required to take a course in technology each year. All of the grades are available for parents and students to access online and teachers give assignments involving online activities and resources as well as using technology in their instruction. CAIS uses Google email, Classroom, Chat, Spaces, and Meet. |
| Is the school ready to use virtual classrooms when needed? (e.g. teaching lessons online during emergencies) |
Yes, our school is able to offer virtual instruction when it is necessary. |
| Do students practice religion at the school? What religion? |
We are a Christian school and all students are required to take classes in morality. Cambodia Adventist International School is one of the more than 9000 schools, 111,000 teachers, and more than 2 million students in the Seventh-day Adventist worldwide school system. Our school specifically follows the North American curriculum which allows graduates to study in most English speaking countries, but specifically, the United States. |
| How does the school accommodate non-religious students or students of a different religion? |
CAIS respects all religions and belief systems. The morality classes focus on respect, clean living, and lifestyle. We believe that education is not only teaching skills, but should be wholistic and include the training of the mind, body, and spirit in proper living, attitude, and respect for the world around us. |
| External examinations or assessments available |
CAIS uses the Measure of Academic Progress which is given in more than 140 countries around the world. |
| Results in these examinations |
The MAP exam is meant to show individual student progress over a period of time. This allows the parents and student to see how the student is advancing in their learning journey. The longer a student is in an Adventist school, the better they will do and most are cognitively a year ahead of grade level after 7 years studying with our teachers. |
| Do teachers assign homework to their students? |
Homework is sometimes meant to be done at home, periodically, but most of the time when a student takes work home, it is because they did not complete it during the time given in class. Some teachers do give homework, but it should not be so much that a student with normal abilities should take no more than 20-30 minutes to complete it. |

The Khmer test examines their knowledge, skills, and usage of the Khmer language. The motor-skills test is a to see if the applicant is capable of caring out simple tasks necessary for functioning in a classroom at their age level. |
