We provide special support for children who don't speak neither English or Arabic. We have French speaking staff members.

Class sizes vary according to the developmental stage and environment. Our Nido (baby environment) accommodates up to 2 children, our Infant Community approximately 6–10 children, and our Children’s House and Elementary environments up to approximately 15 children.

For the elementary classroom we have a computer inside the classroom where children can use along with classroom library to make research on their projects.

Yes. We work with a school psychologist who supports our educational team and helps us better understand and respond to children’s individual developmental and emotional needs.

Our admissions process is informal and child-centred. We begin with a conversation with the family to understand the child and to introduce our educational approach. Where helpful, a gentle observation of the child allows us to understand how they engage with the environment and how we can best support their transition.

Nile River Montessori is an international bilingual educational community in Cairo, welcoming children from infancy through the Elementary years. Our English–Arabic environments offer a progressive, child-centred education rooted in the Montessori approach, supporting independence, confidence, curiosity, intellectual development and a lifelong love of learning.

Since 2018, we have welcomed Egyptian and international families from more than 25 nationalities. Children learn in small, carefully prepared environments, supported by trained educators who understand the developmental needs of each stage of childhood.

Nile River Montessori offers a progressive, bilingual education informed by international educational standards and supported by internationally trained educators. Our approach is child-centred, intellectually engaging and designed around the developmental needs of children at each stage, from infancy through the Elementary years.

Our educational practice incorporates Montessori principles and practices, with children learning through hands-on experience, meaningful choice, exploration and discovery within carefully prepared, mixed-age environments. Children are encouraged to understand concepts deeply, ask questions, make connections and gradually develop independence, concentration and responsibility.

The approach evolves as children grow. In the early years, particular attention is given to movement, language, independence and the foundations of intellectual and social development. In the Elementary years, learning expands through imagination, reasoning, research and interdisciplinary exploration across mathematics, language, science, geography, history and human culture.

Across all stages, we aim to develop the whole child — intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically — nurturing confidence, curiosity, empathy, responsibility and a lifelong love of learning.
