Qualities and characteristics best defining the school

We provide authentic Montessori approach to support children to reach their full potential at their own pace within a happy and supporting environment. We provide a holistic learning approach that fosters the love of learning. Based on the Montessori revolutionary education approach, we provide an organic education environment that embraces the universal nature and needs of the child and every stage of their development. Our learning environment allows children to learn and grow to reach their full potential. Our children are supported to develop their human side holistically from very early age: critical thinking, independence, negotiation skills, conflict resolution, presentation and public speaking skills, confidence.
Nile River Montessori is strongly dedicated to grow a community and support children and families to nurture respectful, responsible, resourceful and happy children.

Teaching approach of the school

In the first plane of development (0-6), Montessori works on the holistic development of the child as a person and academically to reach their full potential. In this period, the formation of the human is happening and the foundational development of the child will remain with the child for the rest of their life. Montessori introduces the child to the natural world through experiences with nature and the sensorial learning materials. These experiences teach children to refine their senses, and thus the way they process and understand their world. These skills aid the child’s development, and confidence with themselves, their society, and their world as a whole.

In the second plane of development (6-12), the elementary curriculum is based on the Cosmic education. Cosmic Education tells the story of the interconnectedness of all things in the world. It describes the role of education as comprehensive, holistic and purposeful; to encompass the development of the whole person within the context of the universe. It also introduces the possibility that humanity might have a “cosmic task,” to better the world for future generations. The Child understand that they also have a cosmic task in this life. In the elementary years, children begin to draw connections between all living things how each particle, substance, species, and event has a purpose in the development of all others. These “Great Lessons of Cosmic Education” are taught as a whole curriculum to show children how all content areas, from the creation of the universe and the appearance of creature and humans, the physical and scientific phenomena happening in the word to the study of history, culture, science and the environment, are all interconnected.
