Both of my sons have been studying at St. Andrews Samakee since Reception. They are now in Year 6 and Year 4.
St. Andrews Samakee is a small, warm, and nurturing school — truly like a second home for my boys. I’ve always loved how the older students naturally take care of the younger ones. When my eldest was little, the big kids would teach him to play football. Now that he has become one of the older students, he’s doing the same — teaching the younger ones to play. It’s such a beautiful school culture that always warms my heart.
My children have never once complained about going to school. In fact, this term has been quite the opposite — they wake up early on their own, even before I do! I sometimes wonder how school could be that much fun.
When it comes to academics, I have nothing but admiration. Learning — whether it’s math or English — is done through play and creativity, so much that I sometimes wonder if they’re actually studying! Yet, when my son took part in the Kangaroo Math competition, he came home with a Silver Medal. The student who achieved the highest score in Thailand — a perfect 100 — is also from St. Andrews Samakee!
Because it’s a small school, the teachers are able to give each student individual attention. In fact, it was the music teacher who discovered my son’s hidden talent for singing when he was in Year 1. She encouraged me many times to let him take private singing lessons. I hesitated at first, since I had never noticed this side of him at home. But in Year 3, he decided to join the Talent Show, and that’s when I truly saw his potential. Since then, we’ve supported his passion — and he has now competed internationally and brought home awards.
At St. Andrews Samakee, students have the chance to try everything they’re interested in — something that might not be possible in a larger school. Whether it’s becoming a class ambassador, performing on stage, or joining various activities, every experience helps them build self-esteem, leadership, teamwork, and confidence.
Another unique highlight of the school is the Farm (Forest School) program — something truly special that you won’t find anywhere else. Students learn directly from nature: feeding ducks and chickens, collecting eggs to cook, planting vegetables, playing in the mud, and even learning how to start a fire safely. The children absolutely love it!
And just recently, St. Andrews Samakee announced that they will be extending classes up to Year 11 — which means we’re happily staying for the long run!

The school’s beautiful green environment makes it a calm and happy place for children to learn and grow. Whenever an issue arises, the staff handle it with great care and efficiency, always putting the well-being of the children first.
Beyond the nurturing environment, the academic standards are excellent. My child has developed not only strong academic skills but also confidence and kindness. I couldn’t be happier to be part of this wonderful school community.
