The International School Brunei (ISB) proudly celebrated the achievements of the Year 13 Class of 2025 at the IB Diploma Graduation Ceremony, held at the Royal Berkshire Hall, Tarindak. The evening commemorated the culmination of the students’ two-year International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma journey — a milestone that marks both academic excellence and personal growth.

The evening commemorated the culmination of the students’ two-year International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma journey — a milestone that marks both academic excellence and personal growth.
The event was graced by the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office; Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah; Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda 'Abdul Muntaqim; Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Anak Muneerah Madhul Bolkiah; Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda Muhammad Aiman; and Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Anak Faathimah Az-Zahraa' Raaihanul Bolkiah.
Among the graduates was Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda 'Abdul Muntaqim, who completed his educational journey at ISB — one that began in Pre-Kindy at the age of two and culminated in this year’s IB Diploma graduation.
The ceremony commenced with the procession of the graduating class, followed by an opening address from Mr. Dominic Morley, Executive Principal and CEO of ISB. In his remarks, he congratulated the graduates and encouraged them to take pride in their accomplishments as both ISB and IB alumni.
“As graduates, you personify ISB’s values of determination, inclusivity, academic excellence, and respect. Through perseverance and collaboration, you have built strong foundations for the exciting futures ahead,” said Mr. Morley.
He also expressed gratitude to the ISB teaching community, acknowledging their dedication in creating a nurturing and dynamic environment that empowers every student to succeed.
Following this, Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Ahmad bin Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Setia Bakti Di-Raja Dato Laila Utama Haji Awang Isa, Chairman of the ISB Board, delivered a commencement address highlighting the school’s enduring commitment to quality education.
“At ISB, we believe education is a lifelong asset — one that enriches both the individual and their community. This principle inspired us to pioneer the IB Diploma Programme in 2001, making ISB the first school in Brunei Darussalam and Borneo to do so,” he said.
“Our results continue to exceed world averages each year, reaffirming our mission of Inspiring Minds, Shaping Values, and Building Futures.”
Representing his peers, Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda 'Abdul Muntaqim delivered the Graduating Class Address, expressing heartfelt gratitude to his teachers and mentors for their constant encouragement and guidance:
“We’ve been fortunate to have teachers who believed in us, challenged us, and supported us — often in ways they may not realise. Thank you to all our teachers and the Pre-U staff for helping us reach this moment,” he said.
He concluded with a poignant message:
“Cherish every moment while you have it. Don’t wait until the good times are just memories. Let our years at ISB remind us to appreciate the present — as these experiences will always hold a special place in our lives.”
The event was attended by Yang Mulia Dr. Haji Azman bin Ahmad, Permanent Secretary (Higher Education) at the Ministry of Education; ISB Board Members Mr. Roy David Kurian, Ms. Sharon Tan, Mr. Jorge Francisco Vega, and Mr. Wong Chin Toon; Ms. Vienna Law, General Manager of ISB; Dr. Peter Jones, Head of Secondary; Mr. Richard Edwards, IB Diploma Programme Coordinator; as well as ISB staff and the proud families of the graduates.
