Elementary teachers assign only a minimum amount of homework for students as we want to make sure young children gets to play and spend time with their families. Middle and High School teachers assign a fair amount of homework and projects to the students at their own discrepancy.

Our school provide various annual international assessments for the students every year including Terra Nova, SRI and Canadian Math. We will also be taking MAP on board for the next Academic Year. Our High School students are also encouraged to take SAT, TOEFL and other assessments that are recognized and accepted by the universities worldwide.

Our students achieve very highly in all kind of external examinations. Our student's highest TOEFL score within the last 5 years is 112/120. Our student's highest SAT score within the last 5 years is 700 for Verbal and 800 for Math.

BCIS is a christian school, as indicated by the letter C in our name.

How does the school accommodate non-religious students or students of a different religion?

Although we teach christian values and character to our students, BCIS does not force anyone to convert or do anything against their will in regards to their religious belief. We also show high respect and cater to other religious specific needs (such as food limitations, etc.) when being requested.

BCIS provides learning support for selected students who are diagnosed as needing such support. This support may be given within the mainstream class or, on occasion, students may be withdrawn for special lessons.
