Dyslexic students are offered learning support in Primary and Junior High Schools with an individualized program, the Accelerated Literacy Development Program, specified by a qualified and experienced specialist teacher. This computer-linked program is integrated into the Language Arts curriculum. An Individualized Education Plan (IEP) is designed for the students with guidelines for all staff concerned. Students whose literacy development falls below expectations are assessed for specific learning difficulties by the school psychologist and the specialist learning support teacher. If formal assessment has demonstrated dyslexic tendencies or other significant weaknesses in literacy, the student is offered placement in the Accelerated Literacy Development Program. The objective is for the student to achieve grade level proficiency in reading and spelling.

Rose Marie Academy is a private, internationally-oriented Pre K-12 school situated in Nichada Thani Estate in Pakkret, Nonthaburi, Thailand. It is run under the guidance and supervision of Mrs. Rose Marie Wanchupela, a professional American teacher with over thirty years’ experience teaching in Thai and international schools.

The aim of RMA is for all students to acquire knowledge, skills, concepts and attitudes which will prepare them for future world citizenship. Programs are individually tailored to the specific learning needs of each student in Mathematics, Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, ICT and Thai Language and Culture. Students are challenged intellectually whilst working at their own pace and level in small classes, groups, or one-on-one. For P.E, Music and Art they are grouped with their Homeroom peers.
