Qualities and characteristics best defining the school

Bangkok International Preparatory and Secondary School (Bangkok Prep) is a private co-educational international school now its 13th year of operation. The school was officially ordained by Her Royal Highness Princess MahaChakriSirindhorn in June 2006.

The programme of study is based on the National Curriculum of England, offering a quality education to students from Nursery to Year 13. The school offers a rigorous IGCSE programme to Year 10 and Year 11 students as a precursor to the Cambridge-approved A-levels available to study in Year 12 and Year 13, thus preparing students towards university education worldwide.

Teaching approach of the school

Bangkok Prep places the needs of its students at the centre of its curriculum and offers a rich and stimulating learning environment. Key to the learning of the child at Bangkok Prep is the care and support they receive through our pastoral system. Each student is assigned to a tutor group which is led by a Form Tutor. This teacher is the first point of contact between the student, school and home, and is crucial in ensuring every student in our care achieves to the best of their ability.
Bangkok Prep is continually reviewing its curriculum and offers a core curriculum supplemented by chosen or ‘option’ subjects as the students mature and gain independence. As the school continues to grow the number of subjects it offers will increase, please check for up to date information. This element of choice recognises that all children are unique and have different needs.
