Technology is integrated throughout the learning ethos of the school. Students are encouraged to explore technological mediums to enhance their learning and to express themselves. The school has a 3D printer that can be used for projects, and students have access to a variety of creative tools. As an IB school with a robust activities programme, UWC Thailand International School also offers a number of activities for students to explore after school, including videography, photography, coding and robotics.

Students at UWCT are part of an inclusive learning community that is both respectful and accepting. UWCT acknowledges that each child has their own unique strengths, educational approaches, and learning styles. Classroom teachers collaborate with the Learning Support specialists, parents, and students to develop strategies and programmes that assist learners in meeting their goals. Students receive support in class and through pull-out support, depending on each student’s needs.

Prospective students applying to Grades 6 through 11 need to take a placement test in English and mathematics and will also be interviewed by a member of the admissions committee.
Prospective students going into Primary School may participate in an assessment and classroom visit with a member of the admissions committee. This decision is based on the documentation and previous school records provided during the application process. An on-campus assessment is always preferable if possible.

UWCT offers a fantastic programme, with over 150 activities available per week for its students, including expanded offerings in student-led activities, drama, sailing, STEAM and sports. Through the school’s Extra-Curricular Activities, students are able to train within high-performance programmes, including tennis, swimming, and triathlon.

UWC Thailand offers a broad range of physical activities and sports as part of its holistic educational approach. Students participate in PE, Outdoor Education, aquatics, movement and wellbeing programmes, alongside opportunities in competitive and recreational sports including basketball, football, volleyball, swimming, running, tennis, fitness training, sailing, kayaking, rock climbing and more. Students may also participate in local and regional competitions, after-school activities, and experiential learning programmes that support teamwork, resilience, leadership and healthy lifestyles.

Facilities at the school

UWC Thailand offers a wide range of specialist learning and wellbeing facilities including libraries, science laboratories, design technology studios, visual arts classrooms, music and drama spaces, a Mindfulness Centre, health centre, student-run café, cafeteria, and uniform shop. Students also benefit from access to UWC Thailand’s dedicated Outdoor Education Centre, which supports programmes such as sailing, kayaking, environmental learning, experiential education and student leadership development.

Sports facilities at the school

Together with UWC Thailand's next-door neighbour, Thanyapura, students have access to facilities for football, basketball, track and field, swimming, fitness, triathlon, Muay Thai, and tennis. Meanwhile, UWC Thailand's campus location—surrounded by national parks, lush green mountains, and beautiful beaches—allows UWC Thailand to take advantage of the great outdoors with activities and sports like kayaking, mountain biking, hiking/orienteering, and sailing.

Two boarding houses accept students from Grade 9 to 12.

Both boarding houses offer large common areas that include lounge and study areas. Meals are served in the school cafeteria.
Students are also encouraged to use the facilities at Thanyapura; including the pools, tennis courts, track and gym.
