| Qualities and characteristics best defining the school |
Cours Molière is defined by a strong bilingual tradition, a nurturing learning environment, and a truly international outlook. Since 1926, the school has welcomed both French- and English-speaking students, helping them grow together through dynamic bilingual teaching and dedicated language support. With more than 35 nationalities represented, our school cultivates open-minded, globally aware students who learn to understand and engage with the world around them. From preschool to high school, each learner benefits from personalized guidance, innovative teaching methods, and a culture of kindness that encourages confidence, curiosity, and academic success. |
| Teaching approach of the school |
Cours Molière follows the French National Education curriculum while enriching it with international teaching modules. Students benefit from a strong bilingual approach, with 50% French / 50% English immersion in preschool and a balanced French–English curriculum through primary school. From an early age, learners follow Cambridge English programmes, leading to the possibility of taking the iGCSE at the end of middle school. In high school, students may pursue a dual qualification through the American High School Diploma, taught entirely in English, offering a solid international pathway. Our teaching approach combines academic rigour with personalised support. The “Petit Molière Method” reinforces mastery of reading and writing through the syllabic method, while English is taught in small groups to encourage progress and confidence. Dedicated language support is also offered to non-French-speaking students to help them integrate fully and thrive within the school community. Beyond classroom instruction, Cours Molière extends bilingual learning through its “Cultures & Languages” programme. Every Friday afternoon, middle school students take part in English- and French-led activities that encourage real-life language practice and cultural exploration. Whether through journalism workshops, music production, debates, bicycle repair, or discovering Parisian history, students use both languages in meaningful, engaging situations. Thanks to the school’s central location, regular outings turn Paris into an open classroom, strengthening confidence, curiosity, and cross-cultural connections among students. |
