As a family, we have had a wonderful experience at MEF. From the very beginning, we felt supported and welcomed by the teachers and staff. Our child feels happy, motivated, and confident, and we have seen great progress both academically and personally. MEF truly feels like a community where families and children are cared for.

I just came from an admissions meeting with MEF International School in Istanbul. I like that PreS to grade 12 is all in the same campus, so there's no need to change schools or campus locations for primary, middle, and high school. The admissions team is very thoughtful and knowledgeable and there is no pressure or false promises about registering our kids to the school. We also met with the Principal and she was very knowledgeable about the school and compassionate. Some kids in my site also attend this school and they seem very happy with their teachers and their friends. The teachers are all English speaking foreigners.

It's a caring community for students and parents. Students graduate with an IB Diploma and American High School Diploma. New management and admin team is a good change from our view. All brand new classrooms, sports facilities, canteen, and the cafeteria, which look wonderful. The new teachers in the middle and high school are a big improvement this year. Everyone is top quality international talent. There's frequent communication from teachers and admin, sometimes several times in a week. I feel like theres always an event at school where the parents are invited. This is also good from my view so I can see how my child is learning and talk to the teachers in an organic way. Yes, teachers change every 4 years or so like most truly International schools that hire only foreigners.

It seems like the school had a change in management, and it's been a good change from our view. They just updated all classrooms, sports halls, and the cafeteria, which is great for our kids. The new teachers in the middle and high school are a big improvement this year. Teachers care about the students and the quality of teaching is quite good. We get a weekly newsletter from the Principal with detailed information about events, celebrstions, and competitions. The school also encourages parent involvement in committees, room parents groups, and the PTA. I find that the teachers change every 4 or 5 years. This is the case for many international schools that only hire foreign teachers.

The campus was just renovated for the 2025-2026 school year. This includes the classrooms and all facilities. I can definitely say that MEF IS students are genuinely happy and well cared for at the school. The teachers are very knowledgeable and support students to grow and challenge themselves academically. The teachers and the new administration are very collaborative and responsive. Parents are always invited to campus for the celebration of learning at the end of every unit. It's great to hear directly from the children as they present their learning across all subject areas.

I have 3 kids at this school. But I will register them at a different school for next school year. It used to be a good school, but the it's been going downhill since the new upper admin started cuttimg the budget. The quality of teachers has been declining. Everything is about money. Even the school food has gotten so bad that my kids never eat at school. I know several parents feel the same way and are looking into going to other int schools. I'd really stay away.

It is very nice school. The way of teaching is very super. I love this school.
