Raffles International School aims to provide a focused and effective ELS programme, set by Cambridge ESOL Standards. ELS plays a key role in improving the English language proficiency levels of non-native English speakers, with limited to no knowledge of the English language. Together with the Cambridge Primary Curriculum, the ELS programme’s key objective is to teach the targeted language in order to ensure that students become
familiar with the language used in the classroom, quickly and smoothly. These targets are based on the Cambridge Primary English as a Second Language Curriculum Framework.
