Information and Communication Technology is an essential part of the curriculum at the Queen International School from Grade 1 onwards. ICT is introduced as a tool to enrich students’ knowledge base, problem-solving and communication skills. Students are also exposed to a variety of other practical applications of ICT, including the Internet that is vital in today’s technology-oriented world. All the labs are equipped with multimedia tools that provide ample opportunities for students to acquire mastery in ICT skills. Videotapes, audio cassettes, multimedia projector, smart board, overhead projector, document camera and educational CD-ROM’s are available in a well-equipped multimedia centre.

Brief description of entry evaluation required

For admission to KG2, your child will have to go through an interview to assess their readiness to attend school.
Students seeking admission to KG3 through to Grade 7 will have to write entrance tests in English, Mathematics and Arabic.
For admission to Grade 8 through to Grade 12, entrance examinations will be conducted in all subjects.

QIS identifies students who fit the criteria for the SEN category through professional diagnostic process. Having this information, QIS further identifies the needs and help that can be given to the students. QIS considers liaising with external professional, working with parents and teacher or carrying out formal test on student all to the benefit of QIS students. QIS there after sequentially follows through a laid down procedure for helping students and help them to work through the program.
