The majority of JBS teachers are British. JBS hires teachers internationally to find the best practitioners from around the globe. All teachers are highly trained and qualified. They all have the requirements as per KHDA guidelines. Administrative staff is international and hired locally and internationally.

Language support for students not fluent in the school's language of instruction

The youngest children can integrate quickly into class with support from an EAL teacher (English as an Additional Language). Older primary children have an intensive English class to equip them with the essential language skills to function appropriately before integration into their mainstream class and may receive additional support in class. Secondary children's needs are agreed with parents on a case-by-case basis.

Most children with learning or language support needs can have them met in school, and JBS will include you in any assessments or discussions and consider your views in making decisions about your child.

Learning support offered

The school may decide that your child needs extra or different help, which may be a special way of teaching certain things, some help from an adult, one to one or small group teaching and, in some cases, use of particular equipment or software. JBS after consultation with all parties, will write an Individual Action Plan (IEP) to focus on specific areas of concern. All recommendations, strategies and extra costs will be discussed and agreed with parents.
