Smaller-sized international school with a family feel and excellent academics. They run the IB MYP, DP and CP programs with small class sizes. The leadership is strong and teachers are very professional and kind.

I have three children at BEPS since this year: one in primary and two in secondary and can warmly recommend this small international school. The teachers and staff are kind and truly care about knowing each child. This is especially reassuring for my teens: they often talk about well being and have the choice of various personal options to be able to come up with their own ideas and manage their own projects from A to Z. Great skills to learn! My 10 year old loves the teaching method (by theme), so different and more interesting than the Belgian system. I barely recognise my 13 year old, she is socially very happy and pushed academically as well. My 16 yr old son is doing the first year of the IB and has really opened up by having great friends and kind teachers here. The management (all Belgians) has been there forever and do not adjust to new methods. The teachers have poor contracts and are not experienced. Most of them are not native speakers. The students’ families are international but more than a half are Belgian. The non-Belgian are mostly embassy staff, so the turnover is huge. Sometimes, more than half of the class leaves from one year to the other. There is a strong French-speaking Belgian influence in the attitude to learning and to customer service.
In sum, good school for EY or lower primary but not worth the price.
