ACE provides a specialist EAL (English as an Additional Language) teacher to non-native English speaking students to ensure that they can access all areas of the curriculum to their full potential. EAL tuition is delivered through one-to-one lessons or small group sessions, specific to the requirements of each student. As students become more proficient in English, in-class support replaces individual sessions to ensure that key academic vocabulary specific to the curriculum is acquired and applied as necessary.

A comprehensive profile of each child's learning challenges is compiled when your child joins the school or as soon as a child is seen to be struggling. The team then meets regularly to assess and monitor each child's progress. Regular communication between parents and everyone responsible for supporting your child ensures a cohesive plan is followed and that parents and your child are aware of their progress.
