Our experience at Hamelin-Laie during the primary years has been very positive. What we value most as a family is that our daughter isn’t just another number. The teachers know each pupil well and care not only about their academic progress, but also about their emotional wellbeing and happiness.

Our daughter goes to school happily every day, has made good friends and we have seen a great improvement in her English. We believe that the environment provided by the school fosters both the children’s learning and their personal development.

We would also like to highlight the close relationship with families and the constant communication from the school. We are kept informed of our daughter’s progress and development, which allows us to better support her as she grows.

I just finished Year 12, and I am currently in the process of preparing for university applications. Overall, I can say my confidence is through the roof thanks to the incredible support network surrounding me here. From our teachers’ support and visiting professionals to Sheila’s (our university counselor) ongoing guidance, I feel I am not only being prepared for successful university applications but also for all the professional opportunities that lie ahead. Having an expert who is ready to provide support at any time is extremely reassuring for me, as I am still undecided about both the career path I want to pursue and where I would like to study. Being able to receive support individually tailored to my situation, rather than general advice, is very valuable, and I am very grateful to have that here at Hamelin-Laie. Other students and I are getting fantastic value from these opportunities provided by the school.

As a parent at Hamelin Laie for 2 years now, I am impressed by the truly trilingual learning environment. My child moves confidently between languages every day and has grown academically and personally. Most importantly, my child is genuinely happy at school.

I went here for Primer de Eso. Now I am 20 years old.
I loved the scenery and the diverse classes.
However, I did have some issues with the school.

There were teachers that read aloud students scores in front of the whole class, which left me feeling ashamed and embarrassed. This made me feel very insecure about my academics.
Once teachers read your scores aloud, they would ask students who did “bad” in front of the whole class what had happened for you to get this low score. This was a culture shock for me. I am used to a teacher encouraging their students to do well, and asking them privately if they need any help.

I came in the school not knowing much Catalan, and I felt very isolated from everyone else. I felt pressure from the teachers to know Catalan very fast. I only knew Spanish and English. I believe the school could have done a better job supporting students like... read full review

My daughter is in Year 3 and she goes to school every morning with a big smile. We’re really happy with her teachers, they’re warm, attentive, and make the lessons engaging. Her English has improved so much since she started, and we can really see how confident she’s become. We couldn’t be happier with the experience so far!

We’ve been at the school for two years, and our two children are very happy at Hamelin-Laie. The Early Years teachers are warm, caring, and genuinely devoted to the children. Our 4-year-old’s English has improved tremendously and he’s now able to hold a fluent conversation. The school environment is excellent, and the international community is something you can truly feel in the classroom. We are extremely happy and would definitely recommend Hamelin-Laie to future families!

The environment is very good, I was stunned when I first entered school, the teachers and students were also very friendly and interesting.

We, unfortunately, had the worst experience with our daughter in this school. As academic standards are concerned, that is okay, but when it comes to linguistic courses, a lot to be desired is felt. However, the most disappointing factor was an absence of ethical values in the school administration

I admire the fact that the many students from different countries coming to study there .The environment is suitable for a student to study there.
