Qualities and characteristics best defining the school

Anglo Singapore International School was created to provide a international holistic programme for students growing up in an increasingly global society. Since 2003 it has been the school's mission to provide a caring and nurturing environment where students can grow to become diligent, life long learners. Unique to the school is its genuine multilingual environment, comprised of students and teachers from across the globe, that specifically fosters the mastering of English without neglecting the importance of Thai and Mother Tongue studies.

Teaching approach of the school

Anglo Singapore International School (Anglo) offers students a holistic and broad-based education based on the Singapore Curriculum Framework leading to the Cambridge IGCSE. The students will learn English as the target language while retaining fluency in their mother tongue, embracing their ethnic identity, culture, heritage and values.

Anglo school consists of four departments: Kindergarten (4 years), Primary (6 years), Secondary (4 years) and Junior College (2 years). The kindergarten level starts from the age of 18 months (Pre-K) and 3-6 years (K1-K3). The primary education includes six years from the age of 6 to 12 when the students receive a strong foundation in the required subjects. In the secondary school, students spend four years to prepare for their internationally recognized IGCSE examinations. The culmination of the secondary curriculum is Junior College where the students spend two years to exploring their university and careers options with our trained high school counselor. The culmination of the two years is the taking of their Advanced (A) Level examinations which lead to places in some of the best universities in the world.

Anglo is moving towards more creativity and providing a more diverse experience in and out of the classroom. The aim is to provide students with greater choices to meet their different styles of learning. The extensive co-curricular activities (CCAs) such as drama and debate encourage students to take greater ownership of their learning so they can become life-long learners. Anglo is also dedicated to nurturing our children in developing their choices in all academic and non-academic fields to make sure our students reach their full potential.
