Nobel school in Lagoa is owned and managed by Globeducate. A company based in Madrid and ultimately owned by two private equity firms based in the US. The bottom line is profit. There is scant disregard for the education and well being of the children. The teachers try hard but they are poorly paid, without health insurance or a pension, so motivation is low.
The school is now on its 5th headmaster in 4 years. This tells you everything!
They have built a new section to expand the school, to chase more $$$ but have left the existing facilities to rot. No sports to speak about, dreadful theatre room, poor IT facilities, no shade, unsafe sports facilities. The list goes on and on.
Numbers are dropping and the owners need to wake up.

I would not recommend Nobel Algarve British International School in Lagoa. While the marketing promises a high-quality international education, our experience was disappointing. Communication from management was often poor, concerns raised by parents felt ignored, and there seemed to be a stronger focus on image and tuition fees than on student wellbeing.
Class sizes were larger than expected, and support for individual students was inconsistent. Some teachers were excellent, but staff turnover created instability and affected continuity in learning. For the amount families pay, the facilities and overall organization did not meet expectations.
The school has potential, but in its current state it feels overpriced and poorly managed compared to other international schools in the Algarve.
