Urban International School has launched asynchronous learning through a program called UHUB. All credits are granted by Urban International School, but this program allows the freedom for students to study anywhere and anytime they would like.

External examinations or assessments available

The Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT) measures whether students are meeting the minimum standard for literacy across all subjects up to the end of Grade 9. All students in Grades 10 and 11 and non-graduating students, including those who are learning remotely, must also work toward the literacy graduation requirement by participating in the OSSLT or completing the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Course (OSSLC).

At UIS, we offer many different clubs. These include: science club, book club, yoga club, media club, board game club, and a sports club.

This course equips students with the knowledge and skills they need to make healthy choices now and lead healthy, active lives in the future. Through participation in a wide range of physical activities, students develop knowledge and skills related to movement competence and personal fitness that provide a foundation for active living.
