Qualities and characteristics best defining the school |
We are a world class school and the first South American School to be recognised by the UK government as a British School Overseas. We are very proud of our strong heritage, traditions and values but are constantly looking forward; seeking to innovate and improve at every age and stage for every one of our pupils. Excellent teaching and learning and the very best pastoral care and co-curricular provision lies at the very heart of the school. With our bi-cultural and bilingual Anglo-Brazilian curriculum, we embrace both cultures and languages and have a strong set of shared values which shape and nurture the experience that our pupils enjoy. |
Teaching approach of the school |
St. Paul’s School provides a carefully structured, integrated and diversified curriculum. We encourage pupils to think creatively and critically, to solve problems and to make a difference for the better. We provide pupils with rich and varied contexts to acquire, develop and apply their knowledge and skills. This equips them to become creative, innovative, enterprising and capable leaders. The school’s curriculum has its foundation in the English National Curriculum incorporating the International Primary Curriculum, Cambridge IGCSEs and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. We also incorporate the requirements laid out by the Brazilian Core Curriculum. A wide variety of artistic, cultural and sporting extra-curricular activities, field trips and pastoral care support the curriculum. |
