I chose this school based on an educational project presented as innovative, well-structured, and attentive to students’ wellbeing. Unfortunately, the actual experience has been profoundly different.
The school year began in objectively inadequate conditions: for weeks, students attended classes in a building that was not yet fully operational, with unusable laboratories, a library that was effectively not accessible, and no access to outdoor spaces. These elements, according to the PTOF, are meant to be integral and defining components of the school’s educational offering.
This situation was compounded by a change in leadership that had a clear impact on the quality of management. The new approach has been marked by a lack of transparency in communication and a willingness to engage in dialogue that, while formally present, has in practice resulted in evasive responses, delays, and versions of events that are difficult to reconcile with the families’ direct experience.
At the same time, there has been a significant departure of the most experienced and qualified teachers, who were replaced in a very short time, with inevitable consequences for both educational continuity and students’ stability.
The most critical issue, however, has been the complete disconnect between what families have actually experienced and how the school has chosen to represent it. Despite clear and well-documented reports, there has been no real acknowledgment of responsibility, but rather generic responses that at times contradict the facts.
There is a strong impression of a gap between the image the school seeks to project and the quality of the service actually delivered.
In an educational context, trust is essential. Once it is lost, it is very difficult to rebuild.

Change of leadership, all of the best teachers left, many families are pulling their children. New building isn’t finished still a construction site but they have already moved there the kids, and it’s an unhealthy and unsafe environment. Wellbeing of students and staff is down the drain because all they care about is making as much money as possible.

Modern and effective teaching methods and integrated bilingualism make BES a one of a kind school. Students are encouraged to be brave, balanced, fair and to always challenge themselves and find their own way of learning things. Great attention and care, good school/family relationship, interesting extra curricular activities (sports, performing arts, tech).

My children attended from preschool to middle school and I have loved it since day one. They started with a 100% English program in the preschool and switched to a 50% English 50% Italian from Year 1. When I noticed that my children were happy waking up in the morning to go to school I knew it was the right one. They have become 100% bilingual thanks to BES.
