We couldn’t be happier with our experience at International Sharing School Madeira. The team is truly incredible, caring, attentive,
and deeply committed to our children!
From day one when we spoke with Susan, we felt that this is a genuinely family-oriented school, with a strong sense of community. What made a real difference for us was how well the school blends an international environment with local culture, having many Madeiran families in the community. We felt genuinely welcomed and integrated into life in Madeira.
We were also pleasantly surprised to find such a strong IB school on the island. We feel very lucky to have access to this level of education in such a unique location.
The new facilities are outstanding. While there were some initial delays, now that everything is up and running, our children absolutely love it. And the food deserves a special mention! The new catering is exceptional, unlike anything we’ve seen at other schools.
A heartfelt thank you to the entire ISS Madeira team for taking such great care of our children. You have made a huge difference in our relocation journey.

After three years at International Sharing School Madeira, it’s clear that the school’s polished image is largely marketing, not reality. Behind the branding, we experienced a disorganized system with inconsistent academic standards, frequent staff turnover, and a lack of serious, stable leadership. The school often feels driven by business priorities rather than a genuine commitment to education, and communication with management is frustrating at best....concerns are frequently ignored or dismissed. There is a significant gap between what is promised and what is actually delivered, and in our experience, it does not meet the standards expected from a reputable international school. I would strongly advise other parents to look beyond the branding and do very thorough due diligence before enrolling.

We’ve been at ISS Madeira for 5 years now, and it really feels like part of our family. There’s a strong sense of community and a genuine family atmosphere, which we really value. Both of our kids love going to school here, which says everything. The team truly cares and is always willing to go the extra mile to support them.

Overall a horribly ran school. Starting at the very top and trickles down. This school is the epitome of don't judge a book by its cover. It's all a facade.

The education of the children is not in the foreground, the only thing that seems important is to make money at the expense of the children.
The management lies and is not open to discussion.
Unfortunately there is not less than one star this school should get minus points and be checked by the authorities!!!
