Since 1961, Leysin American School in Switzerland has rooted itself in its family-run identity. Founded by a family of educators inspired to bring students together across cultures in the aftermath of World War II, LAS benefits from the strategic oversight and genuine love that the school’s original caretakers have passed along through the decades. We are a small, family owned and family run school for day and boarding students, founded in 1882, in which everyone feels at home and part of a family community. The small size of the school enables us to treat each student as an individual, with personalised support in their learning and beyond the classroom. Small means giving the students opportunities beyond the classroom.
