The assessments are curriculum based. Pre-Prep (Kg – Year 2) take approximately half an hour and are conducted by the Head of Pre-Prep. Prep assessments (Year 3 – Year 8) take up to 2 hours, consist of a Maths and English paper and reading. These and are conducted by the Head of Prep. |

All the age relevant exams which are done in school in England. Key Stage 1 SATs at 7, in Year 2, Key stage 2 SATs at 11, in Year 6 plus Common Entrance and specialist exams for future schools. Foundation stage children are assessed against the Early Learning Goals. TES also assesses annually using NFER tests, assess reading age, test with the British QCA additional tests the years when there are no SATs and do internal assessments of its own in all other subjects. |

The English School, which is the only not for profit school in Kuwait, has served the English speaking community here for nearly 70 years. Closely following the Foundation Stage and National Curriculum for England, pupils are taught by well qualified and experienced staff who recognise that all children are unique. Pupils are stretched and enriched by a curriculum that is broad, challenging and varied, and caters for the individual needs of each child. |
