Use of technology in the classroom

TECHNOLOGY-ENABLED LEARNING

Google Classrooms and Related Apps:
Qosmo uses learning technology to assist in meeting the teaching requirements in every lesson. All classrooms are equipped with projectors and teachers are adept at using advanced technology to teach. We use Google Classrooms for online learning, handling and recording of assignments in a structured and orderly manner. Through this platform, parents can monitor their child’s performance and interact with teachers when deemed necessary. Parents can view test dates, locate homework assignments, and have access to teachers’ notes and their child’s performance online, anytime!

Use of Technology in the Classroom:
Technology needs to be integrated with learning in today’s fast-paced environment in order to allow our students to become viable leaders and employees for jobs that fit future industrial and professional demands. Various kinds of technology are used at different year levels, depending on their relevance to the student. Students will be exposed to technology gradually and increase their use as the child progresses in the age, in our system. Depending on the year, the student can watch a video or make a video, watch the slide or create a presentation, read a website or create one. This natural progression will give students a better understanding of the technology that they are utilising.

Simulation-Based Learning:
Certain lessons that involve digital simulations are carried out online and on certain occasions, students perform assignments using digital tools as part of their work process. Through this methodology, our students develop technical skills which help them lifelong. This also helps them to use technology responsibly. We strive to nurture students who are well-equipped to use the latest technologies.

Is the school ready to use virtual classrooms when needed? (e.g. teaching lessons online if the school is closed, e.g. during COVID-19 closures)

As the Covid-19 pandemic has forcefully changed the education system around the world, we at Qosmo International School have successfully and effectively transformed formal education into fully online integrated learning. The transition was made possible with our existing resources and tools which are pivotal in continuing the shift in the education landscape. With this sudden shift away from classroom learning, our teachers and students continue to rise above this new challenge as we advance in using the latest learning technology as part of our regular school life, and we persist to be fully adapted to deliver our curriculum online seamlessly.

Qualities and characteristics best defining the school

Holistic Learning Experience
As an international school created by experienced educators, Qosmo believes in providing individual guidance. Hence each student has a homeroom teacher as well as a mentor. The mentor will be in charge of assisting the student assigned to them throughout the term, ensuring they are doing well in academics and helping them with personal issues if any. All our teachers firmly follow our principles of teaching in the classroom and understand that learning is a life-long experience that does not end with the completion of a semester. Most of them come from across the globe and are well-equipped with experience and passion for teaching children.

Aside from that, individual responsibility, ethics, and understanding of good citizenship are values we embrace and strive to implement throughout the school. We are one step ahead in thinking about the future in the present and aim to have a modern school system on the brink of stepping into the future at any given time.

All in all, your child will be well-cared for in the Qosmo environment as they will be the focus of the Qosmo experience.

Teaching approach of the school

At Qosmo International School, we break the mould and have put a new structure of classes and teaching. Our entire system is designed to develop a hard-working and creative attitude that promotes friendly competition, teamwork, and respect for parents and teachers. All our teachers are trained with a unique methodology and the counselling of students on each aspect of their academic career never stops.

Our Rise and Soar Programs put the students in the learner and developers’ seats in our classroom, where teachers are guides who help the students learn to lead and teach themselves as well as each other through our unique patented methodology.
