The school has invested in interactive “smartboards” for all classes. In addition, all teachers have been professionally trained in the use of these “smartboards.”
Due to the realities of high demand, it is unfortunately not possible to enroll every child that applies to the school. Therefore, we have established a waiting list policy in order to offer children an opportunity to join the school if a spot becomes available.
The waiting list takes into account both the amount of space available, and the sex of the child, in order to secure an even proportion of male and female students. You are still encouraged to apply and join the waiting list, as admission trends and availability are constantly changing.

ISJ is a private, Catholic school for students from kindergarten to Grade 10. Its mission is to provide a world class education; rooted in the Catholic-humanistic tradition, which focues on high academic standards, a prioritization of existential and religious questioning, and building a more caring community.
The school is situated in the beautiful Østerbro district of Copenhagen, directly across from the United States Embassy and only minutes from the heart of the city and the coast.

The goal of the school's academic program is to provide a world-class education for its students, which is rooted in the rich Catholic-humanistic tradition of education. ISJ academic program focuses not only on its students achieving the highest grades, but also aims at developing thoughtful and caring students who take their lives, opportunities and choices seriously.
To this effect, ISJ has set up its academic program in a way that encourages maximum student participation and learning through an interactive process between the teacher and students.
At Instiut Sankt Joseph, our current A, B and C tracks follow the Danish state curricula guidelines for all subjects, excluding religion.Thus, all subjects taught at Institut Sankt Joseph are in accordance with the Ministry of Education´s standards.
Please note that the new International Bilingual Programthe curriculum will consist of a 50/50 split of English/Danish instruction in the primary years (K-6th) and 65/35 split in the secondary years (7th-10th grade.)
