Qualities and characteristics best defining the school
|
The Learn Academy is pioneering the re definition of education. We ignite a love of learning that helps students discover the spark of their genius. We’re forward thinkers. Fast movers. Change makers. We challenge the status quo, value individuality and celebrate global perspectives. We’re here to interrupt the definition of school and encourage young people who are independent, confident and successful learners, excited for their futures.
Why does our model work?
1. Small class sizes: Education isn’t a one size fits all. It needs to be adaptable. Agile. Relevant. Small class sizes mean that teachers can give students time. Time builds confidence. Time builds knowledge. Time builds success.
2. Relationships: Our teachers love our students. They take the time to invest in them as individuals. They aren’t just another student in the class. Their presence is valued, welcomed and celebrated. Our teachers are concerned with building knowledge and academic success, but they are also here to support our students with anything.
3. Collaborative community: We share perspectives, value opinions, learn and improve from our mistakes and are constantly aiming higher. Just as our students grow and evolve, so does our school and so does the way we operate. We seek out student and parent feedback and use this to make our classes more engaging and our school community richer.
4. Our teachers: These are formative years in a young person’s life. It matters who they spend their time with. It matters who their role models are. Our teachers are exceptional on every level, and they work passionately to bring out the best in our students in all aspects of their lives.

Teaching approach of the school
|
We teach the British Curriculum (iGCSEs and International A Levels) and our students graduate with a globally recognised qualification. British Education is synonymous with quality. The GCSE and A Level curriculums are highly valued by universities and employers because of their rigour, broad subject content and encouragement of critical thinking skills. In addition, the British curriculum encourages independent learning skills, self motivation, organisation and collaborative skills.
Our curriculum is traditional, however the way we teach is innovative, personalised and effective. We're here to deliver a student centered approach to education that allows all students to thrive and achieve their potential. Our class sizes are small, our teachers are engaging and passionate and all students are supported towards their goals.

Engaging and effective teaching: GCSE and A Levels
We have high expectations of our learners and their academic success, but we also value the individual child. This ethos stems directly from our various first hand experiences of seeing how children can get lost in a big school environment.
Whilst we teach the British Curriculum (GCSE and A Levels), we’re not a regular school. Our small class sizes allow students to get individualised attention they just wouldn’t get elsewhere. This individual feedback and personal relationships, allow students to develop the confidence and knowledge they need to succeed.
