Our Early Years programme, designed for children from 3 months to 6 years of age, encompasses Nursery, Pre-K, and Kindergarten (1 & 2). This formative stage sets the foundation for a lifelong learning journey, preparing children for a happy and successful transition to the next phase of their education.
The entire Early Years programme is delivered in a dual-language environment (German and English), fostering language development from the start. We warmly welcome babies from 3 months old in our Little Ibex Nursery & Kita, which operates year-round for 50 weeks, Monday to Friday, from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm.
In our Primary School, ISZN follows the British National Curriculum, a clear framework that provides structure while allowing teachers to nurture curiosity and individual strengths. This approach ensures children build solid academic foundations while also developing socially, physically, emotionally, and culturally.
German is taught to all pupils, from beginners to native speakers. Small, proficiency-based classes mean every child makes progress at their own pace and gains confidence in both languages.
In Middle School, we focus on the unique academic and personal needs of our students during this formative stage of their lives. This period is crucial, as it shapes future character traits, resilience, and independence.
Our programme provides a safe and nurturing environment where students can explore their growing responsibilities while developing confidence and a love for learning. With dedicated pastoral care and tailored teaching, we instil a strong work ethic, a sense of purpose, and the skills needed to thrive in all areas of life.
The British National Curriculum at Middle School level offers a broad range of subjects and creates a clear framework that builds on the foundations of Primary. It prepares students for the challenges of the IGCSE years by fostering transferrable skills, critical thinking, and academic rigour.
In Secondary School, students first complete their IGCSEs in Grades 9 and 10, gaining a strong academic foundation and the transferable skills needed for further study. This stage ensures breadth and depth across subjects, preparing students to make informed choices for their future pathways.
In Grades 11 and 12, students progress to Cambridge International A-Levels, recognised and highly regarded by universities in Switzerland and around the world. The syllabuses foster independent thinking and subject mastery. Learners can choose from a wide range of subjects – from traditional areas such as Mathematics and English to contemporary options including Computer Science and Business Studies.
ISZN is housed in a newly renovated, modern campus designed to support our inspiring curriculum. Bright, spacious classrooms and state-of-the-art facilities create an ideal environment for learning and growth.
Conveniently located near Wallisellen train station, the campus offers easy accessibility from various directions, ensuring a seamless journey for students and families.
Our private driver takes students out to the modern public multi-purpose hall of Wallisellen and the local swimming pool which are ideal complement to our own facilities. In the summer months we also use the outdoor sports center with a track and field course and different football pitches.
