Jerudong International School (JIS) is celebrating a landmark academic year, recording exceptional performance across both its IGCSE and Sixth Form examination cohorts. The combined success highlights high standards across all learning tracks, from lower secondary completions to pre-university qualifications.

IGCSE Academic Excellence


The school's Year 11 cohort achieved one of the strongest IGCSE performances in school history. Over six out of every ten grades awarded (61%) reached the highest A* to A  threshold, while 96% of all student marks fell within A* to C. High achievers were recognized across several academic tiers.

Sixth Form Performance Across Three Pathways

JIS Sixth Formers excelled across all three specialized learning routes: A Levels, the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma, and the Pearson BTEC International Level 3 Extended Diploma in Creative Media.

  • A Level: 47% of all grades were A* or A, with 69% between A* and B. Additionally, 26% of candidates earned three or more A* or A grades, a 10% increase over the previous year. High performers included 8 students achieving four A* or A grades (one with an additional AS Level pass), 10 students earning three mixed A*/A grades, and 12 students securing three straight A grades.

  • IB Diploma: Most students surpassed the global average, with 11.1% scoring 40 points or higher. The top individual score reached 43 points, followed by three students securing 42 points.

  • BTEC Creative Media: The pathway maintained a 100% pass rate with no candidate scoring below Merit, including a top result of Distinction Distinction Merit (DDM), equivalent to ABB at A Level (128 UCAS points).

Global University Destinations

Following these outcomes, graduating students secured offers from top global institutions, including Stanford University, University of Cambridge, Imperial College London, University College London, University of Melbourne, McGill University, New York University, and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

Executive Principal Nicholas Sheehan commended the cohorts, noting that the results reflect student resilience, family support, and faculty dedication, while highlighting the holistic character and leadership shown by the graduating class.
