My experience as a mother of two children has been truly wonderful. This is our fifth year at the school, and throughout the years, all the teaching staff we have encountered have been highly professional and exceptionally kind. My children are always very happy to attend.
One of the highlights is the large number of international families, which creates a rich and multicultural environment. The administrative staff are also very professional and friendly, and the leadership team is approachable and supportive.
There is a strong emphasis on teamwork among children of different ages, as well as a solid foundation in values education. It is truly appreciated to have a school where you feel a warm, family-like atmosphere, both with the staff and among the families.

My daughter loves going to school. So far, her teachers have been caring and professional. The owners are usually at the door during drop-off and pick-up times, so any concerns can be discussed directly with the relevant people. Both teaching staff and admin are kind and professional, and I received tons of information even previous to my daughter's first day. The facilities are the newest in town and are constantly being improved and extended, with brand new laboratories, classrooms and multi-purpose rooms. They have their own kitchen, and parents can have lunch with their children by letting the school know one day in advance and paying a small fee. I had lunch with my daughter there once and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the positive atmosphere in the dining hall. The location is also an advantage: the metro is five minutes away and the city centre is 20 minutes away.

We are very happy with Shackleton International School. From day one, they conveyed a sense of trust and closeness, something we value greatly when choosing a school for our children.

The atmosphere is very positive, the children are happy, and it shows. The teachers are attentive, professional, and genuinely care about each student, not only academically but also personally. Communication with families is constant and transparent, which means we are always informed and at ease.

We especially like its international and innovative approach, as well as its encouragement of creativity and critical thinking. They don't just teach content, they help children learn to navigate life and grow with values.

In short, we are very happy with our choice of this school.

This school has been a major disappointment in terms of academics, and a production line approach to teaching, plenty of box ticking, excessive screentime which will increase as children get older. Materials come from Twinkl (aside from Maths) and resemble that of a poor level language academy ...they often use colourful positive marketing vocabulary in communication that bears no resemblance to what is done in the classroom. There is sadly nothing dynamic about printing out materials from Twinkl. Art and Music were often completely skipped for lengthy periods of time as the focus was a couple of months preparation for a 'show' to please parents. We often corrected spelling mistakes from 'teachers' that were left in our child's notebooks. One main teacher was incapable of writing a simple email communication in English. We had experience with the Shackleton (and changed to another school):
The academic level is low compared to most other British schools, and they don't have enough experience, certificates and teachers for better. "40 years" is not true; the current school building was built after 2020.
Several best teachers left this school a year ago because of the toxic environment. There are still very good teachers in primary, so if you are lucky with the teacher, it will be okay. But if you are shocked by some teachers and start to ask questions, they will try to push your child out of the school (for our child, they just didn't give her the option to pass the tests when she was ill, and all other classmates had this option). When we started to ask how she could take part in testing again (as all others did), they ignored our questions and wrote that they wanted her to leave.
