UST is a school that really sees and knows my child. From admin to teachers, everyone cares about children's emotional and academic well-being, and the school fosters a really strong sense of community around it. Another strong point is its diversity and strong English-native base. I like that the curriculum is well-balanced between academic rigor, creativity, and children's physical and emotional well-being. Teachers tend to stay for 4+ years, which also says a lot about the school, I think. We have been there for eight years and the quality has been very consistent. I also really appreciate the school's effort to keep the fees lower than other schools. We have been very loyal to the school and introduced it to many friends.

We are very happy with UST since our eldest son joined the school 2 years ago, from G4. Despite transferring from a Japanese public school, he always found the teachers supportive and encouraging. Our son has adjusted well and has made lovely friends who make him want to strive academically and achieve more in his life. He has met wonderful teachers who he feels safe with and who are inspiring him. Thanks to their constructive advice, we are pleased to see his progress and his proactive attitude towards studying harder and doing better. We love the school being community-based and cosmopolitan, where families and teachers are friendly and open. We also appreciate that the school fees are kept low relative to other international schools in Tokyo but with the recent rise of costs, we do notice that the tuition is getting a bit more expensive, year by year.

You get what you pay for… not much. Besides the school not being accredited…Outdoor facilities are non-existent. Classrooms are small and lacking resources and technology. Admin are cold and unfriendly, not only with parents but children as well. Communications and community need huge improvements. Look elsewhere.
