Welcome message from Meridian International School

Meridian International School was founded in the year 2004. We are proud to be accredited by the Czech Ministry of Education, but also as both a Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) and a Council of British International Schools (COBIS) centre. We have students from around 50 countries and we teach according to the National Curriculum of England and Cambridge Curriculum, all subjects except the Czech language, and French language are taught exclusively in English.

We would like to invite you to visit Meridian International School during our working hours whenever it is suitable for you. You can arrange an appointment with me using the contact info above. The appointment is usually about 20 to 40 minutes long and you will receive a complete information about our school including a school tour together with the possibility to visit specific classes and talk to the teacher/s and students.

Admissions Requirements

For the administrative part of the registration procedure, the required documents are:
application form, one passport picture, birth certificate copy, passport copy, medical report and previous school report.

Students from Grade 1 to Grade 12 need to pass an entrance test.

Admissions Process

Entrance exams duration varies from 40-50 minutes in first grades to 60-80 minutes in later grades.

Tested subjects include English, Math, and Science in Grades 5 and later.

Question types are multiple choice, open-ended questions, reading comprehension and a short written essay.

The exams are all in English. If your child doesn’t have knowledge of the English language, please discuss the alternative options with our registration specialist Ms.Pavlina.
