This school is an anecdote for all of the structural problems that international schools face today. As someone who’s been to many different schools, some which so clearly prioritize money and image over the well-being and education of their students, I can say that ICSC solidly stands above the crowd as a quality institute that instills students with both character and knowledge. Nowhere else have I been so reassured that every student in a school will have full attention given to their success and well-being. This is of course the product of the school's amazing staff of teachers, who go above and beyond to maintain its excellence. Any interaction with the faculty leaves one reassured that the kids of this school are in good hands.

We had such a wonderful experience with this school. Even though we were only there for a few months, our kids are still talking about it and often say they wish they could go back, that’s how much they loved it.
The staff and teachers exceeded anything we could have imagined. They truly see each child, giving them thoughtful attention and making them feel known, loved, and cared for. There’s a genuine intentionality in both the way they nurture the children and how they approach learning and academics.
During our time there, we saw such meaningful growth. Our daughter gained a new confidence in testing, something she had always struggled with, and our son grew in his social confidence and self-esteem. Those changes alone meant so much to us.
What stands out most is the sense of community. We didn’t just attend a school, we felt like we became part of a family.

We loved our time at ICSC. Our kids especially loooooved it. I may even say it changed their lives in a measurable way. We are so happy we went to this school. It is small, personal, and intentional. The combination really worked great for us and our kids :)

Our daughter loves being part of International Christian School of Cascais. The caring environment means students are truly known and supported by their teachers. The small class sizes allow for personal attention, and the Christian values help guide both learning and character development. It’s a wonderful school community for families in Cascais.

My daughter was a student there from September 2021 until June 2025 and I have nothing but positive things to say about them. They genuinely care about the children's well-being and they never stopped encouraging our little ones since day one. Highly recommended - regardless of religion

Very serious concerns about the quality of education at this school.
They certainly do their best to keep the parents happy, but try to get involved, ask questions, see what your child is actually learning and you will be deeply disappointed.
For example, most of the time there are two grades in one classroom. They say that they have a special system where every grade has their own work to do on their level. What's really going on is they don't have enough room for every grade to have their own classroom and not enough teachers. So they make it work and you're basically paying for your child to repeat a grade every other year.
Parents that value their children's education leave this school.
There are many reasons why this school is much cheaper than other international schools in the Lisbon area. Trust me, it's not worth it.

I moved my daughter to ICSC School part way through year 7 as she had been very unhappy in her previous school. The school care was fantastic, the teachers really made it easy for my daughter to settle in and be part of the help her integrate into the class. Since settling in at school family providing extra support and activities to so many people have noticed such a positive change in my daughter she is now happy, confident in herself and loves learning. It would be fair to say that the change in my daughter is largely down to the support and effort of the teaching staff at who have right from day 1 made her feel part of the family. I can't thank staff enough for making a positive impact on my daughter’s life and setting her up for success in the future.

This school is excellent. We love the whole staff, they are like family. Our kids are studying there for 3 years now, and we would never change them to a different school.

I was a High School student at ICSC, from 10th grade until graduation. Through my three years at ICSC, I had amazing experiences and made great friends. The faculty members, governing body, and students create an amazing community. All the lessons I learned there were essential to get me to the next chapter of my life. I am now attending Saint Louis University (International Business) in the USA, and I look back with pride on my time at ICSC.

For us it was a great privilege for our daughter to study at the International Christian School of Cascais for the excellence of the teaching, the Christian commitment and the great love shown for us and for our daughter.
Congratulations on the wonderful school. You excel in your work to keep the school at the highest level.

I am writing this review to highly recommend the International Christian School of Cascais. We were lucky and blessed to find ISCS. They immediately took in our son and the whole family. I remember that first day he got off the bus and he said mom they really care about me. I knew right then we had made the correct choice.
Our son had behavioral issues and was placed on a IEP and a behavioral IEP. ICSC did everything they could to help him. The patience and understanding that the school has is unmeasurable.

Since moving from Portugal to California in July of 2020 he has had no behavioral issues and is
off both of his IEP and he is getting straight A's in all his classes. I believe in my heart if it wouldn’t have been for ISCS doing everything that they did and how they went over and beyond we would still be having the issues with him today.

ICSC is a unique jewel, in that its greatest assets are its teachers and administrative staff. The staff and teachers at ICSC are diligent, thorough, and professional, embodying what you would expect from any school. I have and would recommend ICSC to anyone, especially if you are looking for a school that will meet your academic requirements, they work very hard to do this. However, if you are looking for a school that will help nurture your child to being a good and conscientious human being ICSC does this also, and that is not something that you can always get. It has been a pleasure interacting with this school, and we will miss this fine institution of learning.

The teachers and staff really care about each student. The environment is loving and friendly. The teachers go out of their way to help each student so that they can excel. The family-like atmosphere when you arrive makes you feel welcome immediately. Great school!!
