This an academically competitive school that prides itself in producing highly successful action takers in the country. It is very much a localised international school and stays that way for parents/kids to strengthen their networking relationships for current and future endeavors.
If your child is academically gifted or works hard to excel in studies, sports and the arts, the entire school will embrace you. He or she will be featured, protected and celebrated. If your child does not excel academically or finds doing homework a chore, this school may not be the best option for you. The students are extremely competitive in every sense of the word.
Classes are always full and they really do not need to do much in attracting new students. Oh, one more thing, this is also a school entrenched in local values and tradition. They will not be in awe by the presence of a foreigner just for the sake of having an ‘angmoh teacher’, as with the case with most international schools in the country.
This school is the best fit for my children as they excel in such environment and the school embraces them fully. My relationship with the school has been fantastic from the beginning. I only need to either call/whatsapp message or email. I would usually get a reply within the same hour or at the end of the day, at the very latest.

Both of our sons attend Cempaka Damansara International School, though they are in different education streams—our elder son is in the Cambridge curriculum, while our younger is in the Finnish system. Both are doing well and thriving in their own ways.
Admittedly, we were initially hesitant about the Finnish system, but it’s been a pleasant surprise. Our younger son is not only enjoying school, but we can also clearly see his progress - not just academically but also in terms of confidence and enthusiasm. The teachers have been very supportive, and the small school community means everyone knows each other. It’s a friendly, welcoming environment where students and parents feel supported.

-Cempaka school is slow or not replying emails, not responsive nor professional enough despite running school for many years. Constantly need to resend email for few times.
-My Mobile number is written in my email, but personnel won't even bother to take up the effort to give me a call or anything.
-In general, I'm quite disappointed in this school since my son joint his first year.
